A note on challenges, self-learning and astrology

There are times I feel pressed against the wall in life. When that happens, I turn towards astrology and metaphysics. It helps me feel outside of myself. I escape the pain of meeting my problems, which I feel I’ve been doing for so long with only so much to show for. I wonder why, out of all the problems that exist in the world, do mine belong to me?

Surely, the careful assignment of our own individual life projects means something greater, even if that meaning is perceivable to ourselves only. If there’s a lesson out there to complete, we should face it head-on to know intimately our limitations. So we can find in those places parts of ourselves, not immediately, but always eventually.

Astrology is only the language I happen to use to feel the landscape of my inner world, so with careful application, the myths can paint the landscape for me. Whether it’s a past life dream or a psychological insight, it offers a new avenue of insight into the life I live again and again every single day.
