Satin shoes, laid next to a velvet ottoman on an intricate carpet

A Never Ending Love by Thomas Kosmala

I’m not the biggest fan of rose and yet I love this fragrance. Immediately, it gives rosewater but without the heaviness I tend to associate with rose. There are also notes of white flowers, orange blossom, and musk so it is gentle, velvety and soft.

In the first hour or so, the fragrance is so gentle but it does remind me of MFK’s BR540 which for me, can be a bit suffocating with its powdery-perfume note. But it dries down elegantly, as I find the white florals and patchouli bloom for sweet complexity.

The image I selected for this scent is a pair of satin slippers, laid next to a velvet ottoman on a gold-, light-pink, and pastel green-patterned carpet. It’s stately, composed, refined, fragile.

I applied this once in the morning at ~8:30am and once more in the afternoon but upon coming home, my husband said he could still smell it linger in the room. He likes it so it was a good thing, actually. A+ for longevity and sillage.

A Never Ending Love by Thomas KosmalaIt sounds like

If I had to choose a song, it would be something like Amore Mio Aiutami by Piero Piccioni. Something so soft, dreamy and sweet.

The reviews on longevity and sillage are optimistic and feeling hopeful about it frightens me a little so I’d like to update on its performance once I get to field test it.

One week later

Update on 26 May 2025

I’ve fall more in love with this fragrance, I love smelling it so much. I’ve worn it for at least 4 days in the past week and I continue to testify for this perfume’s longevity. It deserves that long-lasting/eternal rating on fragrantica. It’s performance nearly competes with  Issey Miyake’s “A Drop D’Issey” which was trailing even 10-12 hours after one application in the morning.

A Never Ending Love was still discernible on skin 6 hours later if I put my nose to it. But on clothes, I smelled it to the next day. It’s dry-down is rosy and clean, I honestly think of a young madame of the house who lives in an ornately decorated mansion, spending an afternoon eating honey madeleines in her rose garden. It’s sweet, a little indulgent, but never vain, opulent, or excessive.

I’m saving to buy a full bottle of this, I highly recommend for both men and women.
